It facilitates practice workflow and creates a standard platform for doctor-to-doctor and doctor-to-patient communication and collaboration. At its core is image records management. Around this centerpiece, teamlinks offers tools for collaborative planning among all members of a patient's team to enhance the overall quality of patient care.

An application service provider rents or leases software applications to customers via the Internet for a reoccuring fee, often called a subscription. The ASP will host their application on servers located remote to the customer's location. This model is designed to dramatically reduce customer cost of software ownership, accelerate access to product enhancements , while simultaneously providing greater functionality than previously possible with customer server-based systems. Additionally, the ASP will professionally maintain customer databases, providing greater security integrity and redundancy than possible by the individual user.
